  Adopt A Cat

Adopting a cat is an immensely rewarding experience and you can really make a difference. Here are a few of the kitties we are lucky to have at Catcuddles. Check out our feline friends that are ready and raring to go!

Hope

 Hope

Hope is a beautiful senior cat who is deaf and blind, and on medication which she takes very well. This doesn't stop her from keeping to her daily routine of long grooming sessions, naps and pottering about indoors (and in the garden, weather permitting).

Hope is on medication to keep her blood pressure down and kidneys ticking along, which she will need to be on for life. This needs to be taken into account and along with her diet, her maintenance costs are probably about ?50 per month more than any other healthy cat but that doesn't stop us from thinking she is adoptable!

As she is deaf and blind, she will need to be an indoor cat with possible supervised access to a fenced garden and will need routine in her life. We are looking for an experienced and compassionate home for Hope who will not mind giving more than they take back from her and great contentment in knowing they are helping a cat where most others cannot.

Although Hope does like to be stroked -but not fussed- she is not a lapcat, and will have no problem telling you when she has had enough attention! Hope can be homed as a solo cat, but we would also consider her to be homed as a companion cat, so long as she is not expected to be companionable. She's quite the independent, dignified lady!

Alternatively, if you would like to help us look after Hope stay in her current volunteer foster home, you may consider sponsoring her. If you need more info, please let us know, we would be happy to share the responsibility and keep you updated of how she is doing!

Henry

 Henry

Our 11 year old Henry is a delightful Tabby DSH who is a truly affectionate fellow. He enjoys strokes and cuddles and given time to adapt, he'll trust you enough to curl up on your lap. He is looking for a calm, loving forever home - he is not used to noise or a busy household, so high energy young families would probably not be his cup of tea.

We feel Henry is unsuitable for a home with existing pets as he is not used to sharing his humans. Playful Henry enjoys chasing little toy mice or other small cat toys. He will, however spend a lot of his day curled up napping on a cushion so he won't mind if you have to go out to work. We are sure he will give you a warm welcome when you come home!

He does enjoy exploring pottering about outside so a safe garden would be ideal - he can be territorial so might not get on too well with other cats. Henry will make a lovely companion - can you give the handsome boy his forever home?

Smudge

 Smudge

Eight year old Smudge is a gorgeous Domestic Long Haired girl. She is terribly affectionate and enjoys human company. She will also want to spend time on her own as she is independent - everything will be on her terms, she will come to you for fuss and chat but then go back to her own business! She loves nothing more than to climb up high and watch the world go by from the window.

Smudge will need a quiet, without young children, with stable routines. She should also be the only pet as she has no experience of sharing her owner's affections!

Smudge will spend most of her time indoors but is inquisitive so a cat proof balcony or small, enclosed garden would be ideal. She could possibly be re-homed as an indoor kitty.

Smudge is bound to bring her new forever home a lot of love and happiness; she can't wait to meet you.

Nadal

 Nadal

Nadal is three years old and is a very friendly fellow. He is cheeky and playful and full of character. He is looking for an adult only home where he can live as a solo cat with his new human's undivided attention.

Very independent, Nadal will enjoy getting out and about each day seeking fun and mischief! He is very good at entertaining himself so will be ideal for working professionals who want a furry companion waiting for them when they come home in the evening. A garden, and safe outdoor access is essential for street smart Nadal. Despite his independent streak he is also very sweet and affectionate so will want to spend the evenings with you and in human company. It is fair to say that Nadal prefers humans to other cats!

Nadal was found with a scratch on his face which is now healing nicely - he is now back to full health and cannot wait to find his forever home.

Milo

 Milo Senior

14 year old Milo (Black) is looking for his forever home either alongside his best friend Cuddles or as a solo cat. His previous owner could no longer care for him due to ill health. He has been a well loved family pets so already has a charming temperament. He is really sociable and friendly.

Milo walks with a slight limp and has a kink in his tail following an accident 7 years ago but it doesn't bother him at all and is not a continuing concern. Milo dislikes all cats apart from Cuddles and would need a home with no other pets or children.

He is an indoor kitty who loves a warm spot to sleep and lots of strokes from you. He enjoys human company so is going to make an excellent companion to his new owners. Milo loves to hide in bed before making himself known for strokes and hugs!

Can you give this beautiful boy somewhere safe to spend his senior years in peace and quiet?

Cuddles

 Cuddles

10 year old longhair beauty Cuddles is looking for her forever home either as a companion to an existing cat, a solo cat or alongside best friend Milo. She arrived at CatCuddles as a well loved family cat who could no longer be cared for due to the previous owner's ill health.

She is a lovely senior kitty who is laid back and friendly, loves cat naps and just wants to spend her other half of life in a loving home. She is sweet and affectionate but timid to begin with, yet when settled she adores human company - Cuddles is ready to become your best friend!

Cuddles, as her name suggests, has only one hobby - cuddling! For Cuddles, we are looking for an indoor-only adult home (or very safe outdoors) without dogs or children. You should be able to offer her a relaxed home life and a regular routine without too much change and bucket-loads of love!

 Caesar

Caesar has been a well looked after family cat and is full of energy and charm. He is a sweet, even tempered yet highly interactive and excitable youngster who needs a loving forever home. 18 month old Caesar is very sociable, so wouldn't want to be on his own so should be adopted as a companion to an existing cat.Ideally we are looking for people working from home or with lots of time to spend with their kitty, because this boy needs attention!

Caesar loves all manner of fuss and will enjoy spending time playing and exploring. He is very confident indoors but has had no exposure to the outdoors just yet. He really does need to have access to the outdoors in a safe area as he is a born explorer. He is an ideal first cat and will bring so much happiness to his forever home. He is an utter joy.

Bonny

 Bonny

20 Year old Bonny came to our attention after her elderly owner passed away. She is a much loved family pet who needs a quiet and peaceful home in which to spend her twilight years. She is a very good natured kitty who is loving and homely. She makes an excellent companion to her human friends but is very shy around young children and will tend to hide if they visit.

Bonny would be happy as an indoor cat as nowadays she tends to prefer her creature comforts to adventures outdoors. She will require daily grooming to keep her long hair in beautiful condition but thankfully this is something she enjoys.

Bonny loves fuss and strokes and will come to you for affection when she is ready. She is in excellent health and has had no medical issues in the past.

Can you offer this stunning senior some peace and a spot on your sofa in her old age?

Pantha

 Pantha

Eight year old Pantha was found abandoned about 4 years ago by some very loving humans who quickly became his best friends when they rescued him from their garden. He immediately became a cherished family pet and lived happily for four years with his human companions. Sadly they were forced to move and a combination of a new baby and a new flat has meant that little Pantha is being reluctantly rehomed. Unfortunately Pantha is scared of children and he is also desperate to live somewhere with some flat outdoor space.

He is a wonderful companion, friendly and sociable. He loves fuss and likes to be the centre of attention. A spacious flat with a terrace is what this boy needs. He won't be too happy if his routine is disturbed often so will need consistency as well as a lot of love.

Pantha has aching hip bones, which can cause him some discomfort. this is treated with medication mixed into Pantha's food. In addition, he has just been diagnosed with hyperthyroidism so is starting medication which will need to be taken for life.

If you are interested in adopting Pantha, CatCuddles will offer you all the advice you need on managing this and possibly help with monitoring his health. He is a beautiful cat with a lovely, even temper and very sweet natured. He will quickly become your loyal best friend and he is very much looking forward to meeting you.

Meowth and Jet

 Meowth and Jet

Meowth (tortie kitten) and Jet (black - pictured) are a brother and sister pair who are celebrating their first birthday this month. They have been well cared for in their short lives and are much loved family pets who are being very reluctantly re-homed due to a family member developing allergies.

They must be re homed together as they are very much best friends; they play together, sleep together and groom each other regularly.

This pair are simply brilliant - very friendly cats who get on very well with young children and other cats. They are very petite in size but what they lack in stature they make up for in personality. Their favourite games involve chasing string and toy mice and, of course, exploring the big wide world outside in the day. They certainly need safe access to the outdoors as they enjoy their adventures.

In the evening, however, they love nothing more than loads of love and affection. They are happy to be picked up, stroked and groomed and they just love to be the centre of attention.

These two will bring years and years of joy to any family - they cannot wait to meet you!

Suki

 Suki

17 year old Suki is utterly charming.

She is a very affectionate girl who loves to be picked up and stroked, she also adores human company and purrs contentedly when she is spending time being fussed over by her human friends. Suki will very quickly become loving and loyal to her new family. She is very calm and even tempered but could be intimidated by small children. She is also frightened of other cats and dogs as she has been a solo pet all her life.

Suki is used to keeping herself entertained so she won't mind if you have to go out to work. She is a housecat who prefers a warm sofa to outdoor adventures so she is very happy to remain an indoor only kitty.

We think Suki is a bit of a heartbreaker and that she deserves someone wonderful to give her a loving home in her later years.

She will want to spend her old age indulging in her favourite hobbies: eating, sleeping and cuddling!

Princess

 Princess

Princess is a 4 1/2 year old white Tortie; she will be 5 in September. She has been a much loved family pet who is being reluctantly re-homed as she has not coped well with the birth of a new human baby. For this reason we are looking for an adult only home for this girl where she can remain centre of attention!

She should be adopted as a companion cat to an existing pet as she used to enjoy cuddling up with her friend Nala and was most unhappy when Nala sadly passed away. Princess does need feline company; she may do well to be rehomed with another young female or older cat.

This little darling is very playful and loves to chase balls, play with cat nip toys & fluffy mice and work out on scratching posts. She is also sociable and affectionate and loves to be stroked and groomed. She may well sleep at the foot of your bed or curl up next to you on the sofa. If she touches your hand with her paw it usually means she wants a little scratch on the head.

Whilst Princess could do well as an indoor kitty, she does enjoy a potter outside so a small balcony or enclosed garden would be good so she can enjoy supervised outdoor access only. She is not at all street savvy and hates being shut out of the house so could not be allowed to roam the streets!

Princess won't mind if you have to go out to work, she will happily spend hours watching the birds through the window! She will be happy to see you when you return - particularly if you have shopping bags as she likes to have a look to see if you have brought her a treat!

Bekkie

 Bekkie

7 year old Bekkie has been a cherished family pet for most of her life and is sadly being re-homed as she has been unable to adjust to her owner's new baby. For this reason she needs an adult only home.

She is very loving and will seek you out for fuss and attention. Her foster carer says Bekkie is the most affectionate cat she has ever met! This little princess is an utter joy and is going to quickly become your best friend.

Bekkie will need a safe garden to explore as she does enjoy a daily adventure, she will also need to be re-homed as a solo pet, having come from a multi-cat household we can tell she is much happier without additional feline company.

Bekkie wants a really loving, warm home with stable routines - she is very laid back. A playful soul - you will need to make time to play with her each day as she loves to interact with her humans.

Bekkie would be an ideal first cat as she will be easy to care for and she very much deserves some love and stability.

Please come and visit Bekkie today - we are sure you will quickly fall in love with her.

Apollo & Hermes

 Apollo & Hermes

3 year old, Apollo is a friendly stray who is currently being cared for by one of our volunteers. He is looking for a forever home with his brother and best pal, Hermes.

Apollo is sociable, loving and likes affection. He is communicative with humans and interested in interacting with them. He is loyal to his humans and will quickly become best friends with his forever family and would get on well with children. He enjoys his adventures and is very inquisitive - he will always be interested in what you are doing! Hermes is gracious and loving, and whilst he is a little nervous of affection this is because he isn't used to it. He is bound to become a cuddly kitty when he has some love from his new family. He is very perceptive and thoughtful, and the type who will follow you everywhere if you call him.

These lovely cats have been starved of proper, consistent love and security - it really is time for them to settle down in a loving forever home. They do feel a little insecure right now but once they meet the people who will love them forever they will be excellent company.

Potential adopters are asked to consider homing the boy's best friend, Marmalade as well, if possible.

 Milo

Meg and Milo have been treasured family pets their whole lives and are seeking new forever homes due to the recent death of their previous owner. They can be homed together as they are best friends or they can go individually as companions to existing cats.

Milo is 13 and in excellent health. His striking white coat contrasts beautifully with a grey tail and tabby patches on his face. What a gem! He absolutely adores being stroked and cuddled. He is very affectionate and will put his paw out to encourage you to stroke him more if you stop! He also loves grooming and whilst he won't need daily grooming he would certainly enjoy it, he will begin to purr loudly just at the sight of a brush! Milo is very sociable and loves to chat, and appears to talk directly to you!

Milo will need a very loving forever home, with people who really do have the time to spend with him and to give him a lot of love and attention. He will still want to explore in the garden for many years to come so his ideal home has safe outdoor access.

Both will tolerate dogs and will adapt to sensible older children.

Please come and visit Meg and Milo today - they are wonderful cats who cannot wait to be back in a loving home.
